Our #FabFriday goes to Jailene Vazquez! She is one of the hardest working UNLV DECA member and the hardest individual to take a picture of! She always seems to know where the camera is.. Jailene is a graduate of Clark High School and an active high school DECA member. Jailene is a part of UNLV’s Global Entrepreneurship Experience (GEE) Program Cohort 6 and pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management! In the GEE program, Jailene is studying what makes the culture of companies amazing, how she can be a successful entrepreneur, and how to build an international empire. As a freshman, Jailene has accomplished a lot as a member of our organization from being a leader to giving back to the community. She has served on different committees and was the co-chair for our largest volunteering project, Nevada DECA State Career Development Conference. On this committee, Jailene and her team recruited members to participate in our largest philanthropy project and the result was the largest number of volunteers in the history of the project. Jailene has proven multiple times as a dependable UNLV DECA member and a leader on various projects no matter her role. Thank you for being a part of our family and we look forward to the upcoming years with you (especially more photos of you)!

“The emphasis on individual initiative, accomplishment and recognition is fundamental to DECA’s success during our first 50 years and it will be an important part of our future.” – Dr. Edward Davis, Former DECA Executive Director
