Position Description
Manage Cinema Learning Challenge events from confirmation and hosting to evaluation and thank you’s and performance reports. Create awareness for events and drive individual and group ticket sales. Recommend and use merging digital media platforms to achieve business and ticket sale goals.

Event Pay
$75 + 15% Comission on BD Net after 150+ Tickets are sold

Minimum Time commitment:

  • 2 Hours Per event – Host Event from Start to Finish
  • 1 Hour Per Week – KanBan Team Meeting
  • Participate in grooming the Backlog and Updating Team on Tasks and Deadlines

Opportunity
The NCWIT Collegiate Award honors the outstanding computing accomplishments of undergraduate and graduate students who self-identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary. Conferred annually, the award recognizes technical contributions to projects that demonstrate a high level of innovation and potential impact.

Project must be “tech focus or have a technical component. Projects can be worked on from high school and/or last year. To receive local recognition, the application must meet the criteria for the high school award.

Opportunity
Music Forward is working in partnership with Noelle Scaggs of Fitz and The Tantrums on a special industry initiative titled, Diversify The Stage. The initiative is focused on increasing diverse representation and hiring practices in the live music and touring sectors of the industry. As part of the initiative, Music Forward is recruiting a select cohort of young women of color to participate in a series of Music Forward x Diversify the Stage masterclasses this fall semester in collaboration with She Is The Music, Women In Music and SoundGirls.

Selected young women must meet the criteria below and upon completion of the program will be eligible for internship and apprenticeship placements with Diversify the Stage industry partners in 2021. Please reference Snehal Bhakta from CCSD.

Applicant Requirements

  • Between the ages of 18-24 years old. Must be 18 by January 1, 2021
  • have an expressed interest in exploring a career in live entertainment, production, and/or touring
