Vice President of Membership Bio
Ingrid is full of enthusiasm and is incredibly grateful to be your 2017-2018 Vice President of Membership! Ingrid is currently double majoring in International Business and Spanish for the Professions, with minors in Global Entrepreneurship and Leadership and Civic Engagement.
She has been a member of DECA since her freshman year at Del Sol Academy, where she served as a Chapter DECA Officer for three years and as the Nevada DECA VP of Membership during her senior year. Ingrid has now taken a bigger responsibility to serve as a UNLV Collegiate DECA Officer. Her passion for serving the organization and its illustrious members has never faltered; instead, she continually strives to make the best of her DECA experience.
In April 2017, Ingrid went to the Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference to compete with fellow officer, Annie Lu. The pair competed in Business Ethics, taking second place as overall finalist and giving them a new ambition to strive for during the upcoming spring. This experience created a significant impact upon Ingrid’s college journey and it made her realize the numerous doors and opportunities that DECA can bring to one.
Ingrid wants to take her love of business and service into her future profession as a corporate lawyer. Striving to make her community better, she plans to invest some of her time and knowledge to legally represent children in the foster care system. Ingrid attributes a great deal of her personal success to the lessons she has learned as a member of DECA. The organization has taught her personal responsibility and determination and has given her the opportunity to build and showcase her exceptional talents in business marketing. Ingrid believes that DECA can help all students grow to the best versions of themselves.
